The CVS-Aetna Merger Is A Mortal Threat To U.S. Hospitals

CVS is planning to drive Aetna's 22 million health plan enrollees to use its network of low-cost clinics, keeping them out of hospitals as much as possible. That's bad news for hospital chains like HCA Holdings, Tenet Healthcare and Community Health Systems.
