Agriculture futures were mostly lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery dropped 6.5 cents to $5.145 a bushel, while December corn shed 2 cents to $3.82 a bushel and soybeans for January delivery tumbled 10 cents to $9.89 a bushel. December oats were unchanged at $2.58 a bushel.
In other trading, beef futures rose while pork futures slipped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
December live cattle added 0.30 cent to 86.55 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.42 cent to 97.12 cents a pound; December lean hogs dropped 0.35 cent to 57.45 cents a pound; while February pork bellies fell 0.10 cent to 87.70 cents a pound.
