It got kind of lost in all the James Comey/Michael Cohen stuff but President Trump began his Monday with an odd tweet that appeared to criticize the U.S. Federal Reserve, something that presidents typically don’t do given the central bank is meant to be insulated from partisan politics in order to make decisions in the best interests of the economy.
Here’s what he wrote: “Russia and China are playing the Currency Devaluation game as the U.S. keeps raising interest rates. Not acceptable!”
