Cheney Takes Aim at Obama's Economic Program
Former Vice President Dick Cheney took aim at Obama’s economic program on CNBC's Kudlow Report last night calling it “a vast expansion of the federal government over the private sector that will do long-term damage to the country.”
Cheney also acknowledged that the Bush administration’s launching of TARP and the GM bailout were not well thought out. He’s surprised at the degree to which Congress is taking control over the banks, GM, and other areas of the economy. And he compared TARP to the Nixon wage-and-price controls, which he calls “a terrible mistake.”
