After the .com crash, there was a famous bumper sticker that said: "Please God, just one more bubble..."
Well, you really don't need to pray for that, as history shows us, it's always a sure thing that there will be another bubble. What's not certain is where it will appears, when it will start, how long it will last, or how many people will get made to look like idiots when it combusts.
Starting in the 1600s, we look back at some of the most interesting bubbles, how they form, and the pain that occurred when they collapsed.
