I question the validity of the unemployment figures. They are based on unemployment claims filed with state unemployment commissions and Texas, for one, isn't accepting any new claims for unemployment unless and until Congress passes the bill extending emergency unemployment funds to the states. This refusal/inability of states to accept new unemployment claims means that the unemployment numbers that states such as Texas report to the federal government will be far lower than actual unemployment.
