Hooray for Jim Cramer's Anti-Obama Rant

Do investors hate Obama? Jim Cramer says they do. More in a bit.

This question must sound like one of those cheesy Geico ads on television:

Does Geico really offer the lowest rates on car insurance? ... Do investors hate President Obama?

Speaking of cheesy Geico ads (which I love), here is my favorite:

Could switching to Geico really save you 15% or more on car insurance? ... Does a former drill sergeant make a terrible therapist? (Click here to watch.)

Folks, this is a great ad--a wicked lampoon of therapy culture. As such, it is a cultural green shoot--a glimmer of hope that America is coming to its senses. The Geico drill sergeant ad reminds me of a scene from Animal House, a low-budget hit from 1978--another pivotal year when America woke up and decided it had had quite enough of liberal mush. (Click here to see John Belushi's Bluto smashing the hippie's guitar. Lovely!)

Anyway ... Do investors hate Obama? Jim Cramer certainly thinks so. Read his wonderful rant here. Highlights:

Every time we see a downtick in the popular polls for the administration or Congress, the large stockholders I know secretly cheer. They can't cheer out loud without looking like Scrooge. Or they fear the wrath of Obama, which, on Wall Street, by the way, feels like the wrath of Nixon. It is, however, how many of them privately feel. You know it. I know it. It is just that nobody wants to say it. Nobody wants to even believe it, as it so downright cynical. And of course nobody wants to criticize this president, other than the people who are paid to criticize--the Republicans in Congress and various news entities that cater to the Right. You take your public life in your hands the moment you do. It's dangerous.

Bravo, Jim! I sent Cramer's piece to a Wall Streeter I know (but who, for obvious reasons, shall remain anonymous). His reply: "Cramer is so right. And the only reason people will not speak out is because they fear [Obama] will hunt them down." I can't wait for the November elections.
