Exaggerated: QE2 Role in Commodity Inflation

By buying $600 billion worth of U.S. Treasuries, the Federal Reserve has flooded the market with liquidity and driven up asset and commodity prices. Its Treasury purchases reduce the quantity of risk free assets, forcing investors to buy riskier assets. Commodities are among those risky assets.
