Misinterpreting Jobs Data

A recent WSJ story on wireless industry, which claimed profits were up as jobs were down, was a classic case of misinterpreting government data. Historically innovation and job creation have been closely linked. With Washington now fighting tooth and nail over the budget, it’s very important for policymakers to understand that successful innovation creates jobs, not the opposite.
