German, ECB Mercy May Come Too Late

NEW YORK (RealMoney) -- The bulls' hope: that things get so bad and so precarious that someone acts. Unfortunately, it is not in the U.S. Congress super committee's interest to act. The Republicans want to show that they are the party of low taxes, and they want to block anything that could be positive, including some sort of resolution about taxes. The Democrats want to run against a do-nothing Congress. I presume they both have polling data that supports their views.
