It’s been a while since Cisco Systems Inc. went on a buying spree, but its recent purchase of a specialist in digital pay-TV and video indicates the company may be coming out of hibernation. Like a bear, it could be very, very hungry. The thing to note about the firm Cisco purchased for $5 billion, NDS Group, is that it is focused on digital delivery — via Internet fiber, DSL and cable modem.
