When Barack Obama was still just a U.S. senator, the story goes that Harry Reid approached him to offer congratulations on a speech he gave, to which (Iâ??m paraphrasing here, as will be the case with all quoted material) he responded, â??Harry, I have a gift.â? Yes he does. Naysayers will chalk it up to Teleprompters, good speechwriters, or both, but someoneâ??s still got to deliver the words, and Obamaâ??s very good at doing just that.
If the above is doubted, figure Vice President Joe Biden has access to similar speechwriters and Teleprompters, but to watch him speak is to feel sorry for him. Not the President. To watch Obama is to marvel at his speaking ability, if not the ideas.
