Geithner Stayed on Far Too Long

I suspect he honestly didn’t see these other policies as “money” for the banks. In his mind, they were about using whatever tools he and his colleagues had to keep the financial system from falling apart without asking for government money. It’s the narrowness bordering on obliviousness of this mindset that was both his strength as a bureaucrat and his biggest liability.
