The Pew Center on the States has posted a dataset based on Census numbers, comparing average wages for private sector workers and government workers in all 50 states from 2007 through 2012. The figures show wide variety among the states,with private compensation bouncing back rapidly in some places, and government wage growth outpacing the private sector in other states.
