Minneapolis Pursues a New Tax While Pretending It's Not

Minneapolis city council is set to vote on a bag tax modeled after the one on the books in California. If approved, money from the Minneapolis bag tax would not go to city coffers, nor would it be used for environmental improvement. The money would instead go to line the pockets of retailers.
