The above is one of the "money quotes" in the movie Moneyball, in a 2002 conversation between Red Sox owner John Henry and Oakland Athletics General Manager Billy Beane. Henry is one of the few people in baseball to believe in Beane’s new method of management, and proves it by offering him a $12.5 million check to change teams.
