Trump Pressures High Court On Pending Tariff Ruling
It is not often that a president pressures the Supreme Court to rule a certain way on a pending case involving the separation of powers and duties of the three branches. But in the current case of the president’s authority to set tariff rates on fluctuating and circumstantial conditions, the powers the president claims are being concentrated in the executive while those of the other branches are being pruned.
