Fight to Protect Women's Sports Is Economic Battle Too

Today, more than 3.4 million girls participate in high school athletics nationwide, which represents about half of all high school girls. That’s up from roughly 4% in 1972, when Title IX—the federal law requiring that girls have equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of education, including sports—became law.
