Trump Governs As Though South Park Was Real

Blaming Canada used to be such a fantastical idea that it was a joke. A couple of decades ago, “South Park” imagined a campaign against Canada for fabricated offenses (in this case, children who swear) as a satirical device whose obvious impossibility was meant to underscore the pathetic human tendency to point fingers at someone — anyone — else for our own failings.
