Before I go there, full disclosure. Ephraim Smith was my 6th great-grandfather. His brother, Samuel Smith, testified in the Salem Witch Trials that Mary Towne Easty was a witch. She was hanged. We are all taught in grade school that the Witch Trials were mass-hysteria nonsense, but if one of my people says she was a witch, then she was a witch. We Smiths are really good at identifying witches.
