Oren Cass has some advice for tariff critics: learn to read. In his weekly Commonplace newsletter, he mocked Jonah Goldberg and Marc Short for amplifying a social media post from Cincinnati News as suggesting that Cleveland-Cliffs was laying off workers at its Middletown plant because of President Trump’s tariffs.
On the narrow point, Cass is right.
