It’s the nature of macro investing for traders, investors, and money managers to immerse themselves in the themes and events of the moment. Early in the year it was all about Japan and Abenomics. Later it was Greece and the drama over rescue packages. More recently it was the swoon in commodities and a precipitous decline in the stock markets of China and emerging markets, followed by speculation regarding a Fed hike.
