GOP Should Note Economic Meaning of the British Election

As the debate over the 2017 tax cuts picks up in Washington, Congressional Republicans should pay attention to the United Kingdom this 4th of July. On that day, the UK will hold a general election to determine control of the House of Commons and the Government, and it looks like the Conservative Party is heading for a huge historic defeat.

The Conservatives have been in control for fourteen years, but polls show that the Labour Party is on the verge of a landslide victory, leaving the Tories with the smallest number of seats in more than a century.
