As I write this, the jury in the Lindsay Clancy case has not reached a decision. Hundreds of psycho women wearing pink shirts are protesting in solidarity with the woman who ruthlessly killed her three children with her bare hands. No, this isn’t an episode of The Twilight Zone. Dear Reader, in case you haven’t noticed, we have a crazy problem in this country, and it all stems from the “I’m a victim” movement. Nothing is anybody’s fault. Here’s a general rule that the American Psychiatric Association won’t tell you. Its members are all lunatics.

Blame certainly lies with the Marxist intersectionality pedagogy, which is everywhere. This is the group that indoctrinates young people by telling them that if their lives are not going as well as they would like, it is because they are oppressed for being black, gay, trans, redheaded, female,  Appalachian, knock-kneed, left-handed, blah, blah, blah.

We can also look to modern psychiatry. The biggest bunch of insufferable kooks are psychiatrists and so-called mental health experts. In my view, most of these so-called professionals practice a snake-oily faux science, and they go into their “profession” because they are nutjobs themselves.

Woman walks into shrink’s office.

Shrink: “What seems to be bothering you?”

“I can’t decide if I should wear heels or flats to the dance at the country club this Saturday night.”

Shrink: “Why do you hate your mother?”

“I didn’t know I hated my mother.”

“Yeah, you most definitely do. We will have to schedule an appointment every week for the next five years, and, oh yeah, that will be $300. I’m writing you a script for Valium, Xanax and Zoloft. Make sure you take these three times a day, and don’t forget to mix them all with alcohol.”

There’s a nationwide epidemic of parental alienation. Children who are lovingly raised by their parents graduate from college and struggle with “mental health” issues, almost certainly because they never experienced tough love. Never had an after-school job and never got “the belt” from their father.

They go to Suzie Fleckenstein, who asks, “What were your parents like?” Well, before you can say Sigmund Freud, the mental health issues are all the fault of their parents. Suzie is a quack, had drug and alcohol problems when she was young, ran away from home when she was 14, was committed six times before she turned 21 and had a cutting problem. After she got sober, she got a degree in psychiatry, and Daddy paid for it. Of course, she hates her father and blames him for all her problems. She’s the one advising your child to cut off relations with her parents.

Once people are told they are victims, they lean into victimhood. It becomes a crutch for everything. Late for work? It’s because I was diagnosed as a Late-aholic. Fat slob? It’s Krispy Kreme’s fault. Your boyfriend breaks up with you? It has nothing to do with you being an entitled bee-atch; it’s because he’s a misogynist.

What this world needs is a giant kick in the ass. If your 10-year-old tells you he might be trans, you smack him. It stops right there. That’s all you have to do.

Those of us who grew up in what I call the “Johnny Unitas Era” were taught not to whine. When we got banged up on the football field, we were told to shake it off. I once broke my left femur tackling a huge fullback. Coach called me a sissy for breaking my leg and made me run laps. Boys did not cry because, if you did, one of your older brothers would call you a little girl, or worse, the P-word.

If we want to stop the mental health epidemic, we have to quit coddling everybody and making being a victim cool.  I don’t care what faddish diagnoses Lindsay Clancy was given; she methodically killed her three children. Do you want to prevent other kids from being mercilessly killed by their parents? The way to do it is to set up gallows right on the Boston Common and televise her hanging on all three networks. Bring the kids so they can begin to understand consequences.

Telling weak-minded people they are victims just creates more freaks who will never get well and will only become crazier. Lord knows we have enough of them.

Psychiatry has gotten awfully good at inventing names for what used to be called life. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) now contains hundreds of psychiatric diagnoses. Grieve too long? There’s a diagnosis. Hoard too much junk? Diagnosis. Can’t stop picking your skin? Diagnosis. Drink coffee every morning and get a headache when you stop? Caffeine withdrawal is in there too. At the rate we’re going, by 2035 the only people without a psychiatric disorder will be psychiatrists—and I’ve already told you what I think about them.

How many drugs are prescribed to people because they’ve been told that they have a “chemical imbalance” in their brains? Did you know that there’s never been one credible peer-reviewed study that substantiates these claims, much less explains what “chemical imbalance” even means? It’s totally made up. Here’s another rule: whenever people are getting paid for a service, they fabricate reasons why you need their services. In the whole history of shrinkdom, has one psychiatrist ever told a patient to shut the F up and quit whining?

The mental health industry is a gigantic business and mostly a fraud. Silly women psychiatrists blather feel-good nonsense to their patients who need affirmation as to why they feel the way they do. If there is something bothering you about yourself, good God, get off your ass and fix the problem; don’t wallow in it! For example, if you are depressed because you are fat and slovenly, quit eating and wear a pressed shirt.

I’m not suggesting that there aren’t legitimately crazy people. There have always been crazy people,  but talking to some dude smoking a pipe in a cardigan sweater generally ain’t going to help the crazy guy become uncrazy. Nor should a psychiatric diagnosis become a free pass for destructive or criminal conduct. There ought to be consequences for conduct that harms other people.

We are intelligently designed beings. God gives us tremendous tools to cope with our mental health, as well as a pretty nifty book loaded with proven lessons on how to be happy. The spiritual can change our brain functioning, which can heal the physical. Did you know that practicing gratitude eliminates anxiety? Joy and anxiety are anathema to each other; feed one and you tend to starve the other.

Victimization is cancer. Forgiveness heals. Personal responsibility triumphs.
