Last Tuesday Was About Keeping What Is Dear to You

This article is about the preservation of YOUR wealth and liberties.  All economic activities are the result of human behavior. To avoid the perils of the past, one must understand that human beings are apt to behave in predictable fashions. History and economics are intertwined.  If you care about your stock portfolio, the value of your home and your prospects for future income, pay attention.

By now, you’ve heard multiple talking heads spew blather about last week’s election and why Virginians voted as they did.  The issues are bigger than what you have likely been told.

On January 5th, 1930, the Soviet Central Committee issued a decree which read in part “The Party is justified in shifting from a policy of restricting the exploiting tendencies of the kulaks to a policy of liquidating the kulaks as a class.”

On September 28, 2021, Terry McAuliffe, running for governor in Virginia stated “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

What do these two statements have in common? A lot. They both are representative of leftist thought; what’s yours is theirs, and we “the Party” will take what’s yours away from you. In the first instance, the kulaks (prosperous middle class land owners) did not take kindly to the Communists seizing their property and forcing them to work on collective farms.  The solution? Kill them. The Party will control all.

In the second instance, the Party wants your children. Like the kulaks’ land, the party wants to collectivize your children. They hate anybody who gets in their way. The Party will control all.

Towards the end of the gubernatorial campaign, Terry McAuliffe said “Our school boards were fine until these people showed up.” Let’s parse these 10 words.

“Our.” Are they “your” school boards Terry? Oh, excuse me, you must mean the Party’s school boards?  All things belong to the “state,” and the Party of course owns the “state.” At the time Terry said this, the Democratic Party was in control of all statewide offices and both chambers of the General Assembly (our legislative body).

“Were fine.” After Terry’s “Party” swept control of the statehouse in 2019, radical new laws and unconstitutional dictates relating to what was “required” to be taught in public schools ensued. Radical Marxist instruction, like Critical Race Theory was thrust upon schools top down from Richmond. Knowing that the “kulak” parents would oppose such measures, the Party apparatchiks deceptively concealed their radical agenda from parents. Soon however, the gig was up as kids came home from schools singing the Internationale and denouncing Mom and Dad as white supremacists. The new Apostles Creed of the red religion being shoved down parents’ throats demanded that men dressed up as women had a right to hang out in girls’ bathrooms. The Loudon County School Board made up of “Party” members committed to the new manifesto covered up rape and assaults by these she-men. Why? Because if word got out of what happened, the kulaks might fight back and revolt against the New Order.

“These people.”  These words drip with sneering contempt. How dare these kulaks question our ownership of their children! Lenin stated, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seeds I have sown will never be uprooted.” These seeds have been germinating in government run schools for some time.  However, things got radically worse in 2019. The raging leftists in state government were not content with just planting seeds of revolution. All old vegetation had to be uprooted by the Marx and Engels Landscaping Company to make room for trees and shrubs approved by the “Party.” Terry McAuliffe’s vision for Virginia was fully in tune with this state sponsored mandatory indoctrination. The kulak children must be re-educated!

The Left’s obsessive focus on “re-education” is what I call “Bulldozer Theology.”  The intent of this movement is to “bulldoze” everything that preceded the present. Why? Because all of history and empirical evidence disproves the efficacy of Marxist philosophy; therefore, all history must be discredited or eradicated. Critical Race Theory and woke doctrines are nothing more than Marxist pseudo sciences masquerading as some sort of useful civil construct. In reality, these doctrines are merely tools of destruction to make room for the “New Order.”

As soon as the Bolsheviks rounded up what kulaks and peasants they didn’t kill, they put them to work in collectives and state-run factories. Each workday included re-education classes. The new Soviet man had to be created and molded into compliance. The old ingrained Eastern Orthodox beliefs had to be euthanized to make way for the new state religion.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking: “This Smith fella is some sort of John Birch Society whack job.  Terry McAuliffe is not a Marxist!” Fair enough, but what quacks like a duck is a duck. One does not have to read Marx and wear a Che Guevara T-shirt to be demonized by Marxist thought. We are all human beings and capable of succumbing to dark forces. As I have stated before, Marxism is the political manifestation of hatred and jealousy, forces if not recognized and checked, always lead to destruction. Its recruitment tactics are little different from those of the Evil One himself. Lie in a clever manner, deceive, spread discord, destroy, hate and recruit converts. These converts might not call themselves Marxists (though many do), yet their belief in an omnipotent state bulldozing individual liberties will inevitably lead to the type of policies that liquidated millions of kulaks. During the Bolshevik Revolution, the White Russians could have easily quashed the Red movement and saved tens of millions of lives. They didn’t have a cool catchy slogan like “Peace, Land and Bread.” They were lethargic, not united and didn’t take the threat seriously until it was too late. Apathy prevailed. Thankfully, Dear Reader, you have me to sound the alarm. Churchill sounded the alarm about the Nazis for years. No one listened. So listen up. Don’t worry about the Fed’s tapering, dollar cost averaging or minor market fluctuations. Worry about this woke movement and the bulldozing of all your wealth and individual liberties.  It is a deadly virus a thousand times worse than Covid.

A virus is more apt to spread when certain conditions are ripe, such as when immune systems become weaker in the winter months. It’s no mystery why the woke virus is spreading now. By 1914, the Russian Empire was exploding out of its feudal past, undergoing rapid industrialization, engaging in extensive trade and becoming quite wealthy. Millions were lifted out of poverty. It had the largest gold reserves in the world.  Wealth creation propels all socio-economic classes forward.  Our Founders knew that for our Republic to last, protecting ourselves from ourselves and our worst instincts was the first duty of our constitutional structure. When everyone is poor, there is little jealousy of what others have.  When everyone is better off, but some are noticeably more rich and successful, bitterness and jealousy assert themselves in an ugly fashion. Virtually everyone in the United States is fabulously rich compared to a generation ago as technological advancements have made life much easier and less stressful. Great wealth also creates leisure time, something the woke mob uses to brood and be angry.  These malcontents consider themselves the “have-nots” and hate the successful “haves,” oblivious to the fact that the “haves” (and their capital) provide them with riches and luxuries no generation before them could have ever imagined.

The Virginia election was about more than education and school choice. These issues exposed the radical thinking of leftist elites. Virginians rebelled against Bulldozer Theology. We’re pretty good at rebellion. If you want to keep what’s dear to you, I suggest you join our happy throng.

Sic Semper Tyrannis.
